I have either a great attitude or a lousy one. By the time I figured out what to blog, the week was over... hehehe. I laugh, but I am resolved to work on that, especially since the Leadership Summit, when I was reminded what some people have to do to earn money just to survive.
My work, however is a different story. I always try to do my best. No matter who I work for or what I do. My goal is excellence for an audience of One. I know that my reward comes from God and that He sees everything, everytime. Sometimes I actually see something out of place and I know no one really would even notice, but I turn around to fix it, because God sees.
There is a verse in the Bible, I forget where right now, but it says " Be not weary in well doing, for in due season, ye shall reap... if ye faint not".
That's a promise from the King.
So, I try to do the right thing. At times I feel like no one notices, appreciates, or cares... but I know God keeps great records. So I persevere. I have to bring it home now, to my disabled husband and not moan when I get exhausted, and I do get exhausted. I love my husband dearly and want to be sweet & kind all the time, keeping the same factors in mind. Plus we reap what we sow, more than we sow, later than we sow it... so selfishly, I don't want some grouch to care for me one day, but someone who loves me and is kind.
This book is a great book, and I am definitely a student... who needs to learn more & more.Lynn Haneganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14228412732280271384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6187423214160528044.post-50443711674629153072013-08-14T10:38:13.668-07:002013-08-14T10:38:13.668-07:00After being out of the country for 3 weeks, I fina...After being out of the country for 3 weeks, I finally had a chance to catch up on this blog. I don't have the book but I will be ordering soon! I wanted to do a quick intro, even though I'm so late in joining the game. My name is Maria and I am married to a complete opposite of me - in fact, that blog about personality test...I'm pretty sure ALL of our four letters are completely opposite of each other. We have a blast together everyday. We are blessed with THREE girls. My strong-willed oldest who has taught me more about FAITH than anyone else. My "cute card" 2nd child has taught me about JOY. My third, who was just added to our family via adoption, has taught me in just few short about the abundance of the GRACE of God more than anyone else.
The best advice...well, it's kind of hard to pick, since most of them have come from you, Mom T :) But the verse you gave me at my HS graduation always sticks out to me. Psalm 27:8. When I find myself fretting, or discouraged, or in despair, I always remember to "seek His face" with all my heart. And I'm back in His arms again, like the Adley illustration you gave.
He is my...everything. But as you all have described, in the busyness of life, it's hard to find that place of true worship. I'm so enoucarged already and can't wait to buy the book!
